Heaven on a Plate
I had eaten here more than 15 years ago. I worried that the years had just built this into a very tasty memory. Not so! The food is excellent.
Hubby had the BBQ beef sandwich, very tender, tasty, yummy good. He said the baked beans were exceptional, and the tea (not sweet for him) was great.
I had the pork ribs and black eyed peas. The peas were gone in moments. These are the real thing, not out of a can. The ribs were fall off the bone tender with just the right amount of BBQ sauce - not swimming, but not wishing for just a little more.
The hot spiced wine is yummy. And the sweet potato pie is just....beyond words.
Lunch is served til 4, and prices are a little cheaper then. But the food's worth it, and you definitely don't go away hungry.
Little hole in the wall. If you're going for dinner, there may be a wait. It's worth it!
