Sunday Sunday was peppered w/ gettin' to know my neighbors and counting to 420 so many times I lost count. More lazy day time on the river and a night concert w/ Steven, Ziggy and Bunny Wailer. Monday Packing up is so sad. We waited till the last minute to take down the shade structure that we had called home for the last few days. Sad good byes to new friends and old. Three hours in traffic and I need a break. Slow rollin' through Willets I spy some place to take a load off and drop some of the drinks from yesterday. Small and cute w/ tons of plants this little pizza spot did just what we needed. Served up some hot pizza and a place to chill out for a minute. Two slices and a cold glass of water later we bid good bye to the providers of fine pizza and atmosphere. Back on the road I realize the what all those folks had been talking about. The river is a great time. Money well spent w/ lots of good music food and fun for everyone. I still think of myself as a Burning Man guy but I go to the river too. - Friday , posted 10/16/06 |
