Great Sushi
This restaurant is a hidden treasure of Eureka. As you step inside, you notice the center stage that is decorated with various eccentricities that have been collected by the proprietor, a jovial Ed Zammarripa. All along the walls you will find weaponry, from katanas to spears. Posters from old Japanese Samurai movies adorn the walls, providing a rich visual history.

The menu is adorned with such delights as the Panko Ika, a delectable panko fried squid that is served along side a tangy spicy dipping sauce. A bevy of sahimi can also be found, ranging from the bright red maguro to the seared shiro maguro. If spicy maki, or sushi rolls, is your desire, the Hokkido roll is the perfect solution. A pair of tempura shrimp is stuffed into an inside out roll (where the rice is on the outside), which is then topped with 3 slices of maguro and decorated with the bold Rooster sauce. - Eric , posted 07/15/07

Great place to work and eat!
Looking for tasty sushi in Humboldt? Come check us out! Excellent food, great service (sometimes provided by yours truly) and a relaxing atmosphere. Much better prices (and quality!) than some of the other places around here. 621 5th Street in Eureka, between G & H. Open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday. For reservations call (707) 442-6802 . - Stephanie , posted 03/08/07
