Middletown is about 4 miles from Harbin (you come through it after you climb the mountain, & before you turn off to hwy 175). It is undergoing a little renaissance, largely due to Diana Wolf, who has created a couple of hangouts for locals & Harbinites to co-mingle while drinking great coffee & eating wonderful food (she also runs the Poolside Cafe at Harbin, with a smaller menu). Diana is planning a whole series of "events" this summer, including arts and crafts fairs, Karaoke nights, music etc. etc. Check it out while you're visiting Harbin. A little bit of Harbin Hot Springs in Middletown. Same food as the Poolside cafe at Harbin Hot Springs, with a slightly expanded menu. Locals and Harbin people co-mingle, friendly, great food and nice service - Unsubscribed , posted 04/19/07 |
