Dr. Jeffrey Thompson makes my favorite "audio for meditation & sleep" CDs. The CDs use "entrainment" to help one's brain acheive various states of awareness. He has created many varieties such as relaxation, sleep enhancement, meditation, creativity, etc. to choose from available on his website or many CD dealers (such as Amazon). There are alot of these types of audio CDs available but I really like Dr. Thompson's aesthetic approach to the aural experience. He has an extensive collection of audio which incorporate music, sounds from nature, & even recorded materials from NASAs space probes with the binaural beats! The CDs offer Dr. Thompson's extensive reasearch into healing with sound. There are probably over 50 CDs to choose from available on the Center for Neuroacoustic Research's website which makes sound therapy available to everyone. - sparkle7 , posted 10/20/06 |
