A company that designs, manufactures and markets electronic motion control systems needs a full-time Technical Writer position to develop, modify and edit customer support technical documentation including product manuals, technical notes, HTML Help, datasheets and sales publications.

You will work directly with engineering and customer support teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of products and technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to generate documentation and graphics for an on-line support site.

You will work in a small, dynamic, development team to:

o. Create and edit software and hardware product documentation.
o. Work with directly with engineers to document new products and features
o. Create HTML Help for various GUIs and support site
o. Create WinHelp, HTML Help, and print-friendly PDF documents will be generated from a single source.

o. Create and edit graphics, diagrams, and optimize digital photos
o. Create Release Notes for software releases
o. Develop Quick Start Guides
o. Create Flash-based animations and tutorials
o. Create product datasheets


Requirements:

o. 2+ years experience documenting industrial hardware and software (Required)

o. Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat (Required)

o. Proficiency with Dreamweaver or other HTML authoring tool (Required)

o. Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Visio a plus

o. Proficiency with Macromedia Flash a plus

o. Familiarity with motion control technology, servo closed-loop control, I/O devices a major plus
