Downtown in a good neighborhood (we know about 80% of the people within a block), two story 3bed one bath house. Bills come to less than $100/ea so far (Though winter is here and we just hooked up the propane central heat so we'll see?). There are one or two rooms available; downstairs is a little smaller and well, downstairs. $300/mo and the upstairs is larger, right next to the bathroom, $400/mo. Either way I want a $300 deposit for cleaning or damages. It's a sweet house w/ hardwood floors, it was just remodeled so new paint and looks nice. We try to keep a neat house, so not much in the way of clutter, the house has a "community liquor cabinet" which actually is my personal collection but I leave it open to roomies and just ask for a donation if you drink so I can replace the booze as the bottles are emptied. We also have a sweet projector/surround sound set up in the living room so all movies (DVD or online) can be viewed on a roughly 14' screen. Food is on a semi-shared basis: that is we live in abundance so buy your own food but no jumping down someone's throat about eating some of your cheese, though we generally leave higher priced specialty items for their owners (like salmon steaks or your last Guinness). We share things like condiments, dairy, vegetables, juice.
There is also a chore list which is done on a volunteer basis, the reward being the profits from recyclables for the month. Not usually much, but who can't use an extra $20, and who doesn't like a clean house, not to mention a little healthy competition?
If you are a mooch, slob, alcoholic or in any other way could see yourself creating stress and unnecessary problems for our happy little household please refrain from applying. All smoking is done outside, pets are allowed but must be kept from disturbing the neighbors and creating cleaning issues inside. Right now we have one friendly dog who stays outside except at night she is allowed to sleep downstairs in the laundry room.
The backyard is a nice size if you have a project like idk making birdhouses or whatever there's plenty of room. Roughly 40ft X 40ft, with another 40ft X 15ft section(there's a line of trees separating the two).
