EN-716 Professional Services Engineer - Staff -Anaheim, CA (Local Candidates Only)
A leading developer of software for global telecom Service Providers seeks a Professional Services Engineer to provide a wide range of pre- and post-sales support.
Based in Anaheim, CA, our client is a successful software company with a proven track record spanning over 30 years of technology development, sales, and solution deployment in worldwide Fortune 1000 companies.
In this position you will:
o. Lead the pre-sales process by designing, developing and performing presentations on and demonstrations of Tone’s product line.
o. Conduct technical presentations to potential customers, provide all technical responses and review entire bid/RFP, etc.
o. Design, develop and perform demonstrations of current and proposed products
o. Document and record all appropriate communications and activities with customers in Tone’s CRM.
o. Participate with development, marketing, and sales to establish future development plans. This includes providing input to tone’s “wish list”.
o. Assist customers in problem determination and resolution as required.
o. Travel domestically and internationally (approx 25% travel)
Requirements:
o. Excellent Unix/Linux system programming and administration skills (Required)
o. Excellent people and communication skills (Required)
o. Experience with VoIP telephony solutions such as Cisco, Avaya, Nortel (Required)
o. Experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL a plus
o. Prior experience as a sales engineer a major plus

o. Prior experience as a sales engineer is not required for this position. If you have solid UNIX skills, people skills and some experience with VoIP telephone systems and want to move into client-facing sales engineering, this is a great position for you.
o. There is much room for advancement. The client is looking for someone who has the desire and ability to take on more responsibilities, eventually leading the whole sales engineering department.
