1st ANNUAL MARDI GRAS BALL
Santa Cruz will celebrate Mardi Gras in style at the first annual Cypress Lounge Mardi Gras Ball on Monday February 23rd and Tuesday February 24th, 2009.
Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!
The Mardi Gras Ball is co-presented by Krewe du Cypress Lounge and The Santa Cruz County Democratic Central Committee.
Jumpin Jive and Zydeco Dance Party Music provided by SqueezeDaddy
Mardi Gras revelers are encouraged to wear costumes and participate in the costume contest on both nights. The local Democratic Party will be offering authentic Mardi Gras beads, masks and feather boas with the proceeds going to help with their programs.
Krewe du Cypress Lounge will feature a special New Orleans style menu for both nights….boiled crawfish, red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, chicken and andouille jambalaya, and the Mardi Gras classic, king cake.
Abita Beer and Hurricanes will be available at the bar.
Cover charge: $5.00 at the door (food & beverage separate)
Doors: 6:00pm both nights
Close: Midnight
Attire: Costumes encouraged
