"Audition" for Poly video production: May 17: Berkeley

Hello folks,

This is an "audition call" for people wanting to express their views
about polyamory on video, to be broadcast far and wide. This will be
the first of what we hope will be an ongoing series of video shooting
sessions of this type.

This is all being done by poly people wanting to promote a POSITIVE
image of polyamory, not outsiders or people wanting to ridicule polyamory.

All activities and comments will be recorded on video tape for
eventual broadcast on cable TV, You-Tube and whatever other means of
wide distribution we can come up with. So if you are shy, closeted,
embarrassed or ashamed of your involvement with polyamory or your
desires related to polyamory, this is definitely NOT a gathering for
you. However, if you've got something to tell the world about
polyamory you think they might find interesting, AND are willing to
say it on camera, this might be the place for you!

Note this is a very LOW budget production effort. We are not CBS,
not the Jerry Springer show, and we are not paying anyone to be in the
show. You won't get rich off this, (but you MIGHT become famous, or at
least notorious).

If you are into polyamory and are interested in doing this, you are
invited to apply. We need males, females and others. Whether you're
hetero, gay, bisexual, trisexual, polyamorous, polyfidelitious or into
quadrapedalism, we want your opinion. We can't deal with anyone under
18 years of age at this particular session. (We MAY do a future
session specifically interviewing people who are under 18 about their
feelings on polyamory, but that has its own legal implications that we
aren't prepared to deal with at this time). Other than that, if you're
between 18 and 104, you're invited. (If you are over 104, you are also
welcome. We'll even arrange special transportation to bring you to the
filming site). Whether you consider yourself photogenic or not, you
are invited. Whether you have any acting ability, oratory skills,
performing ability or previous experience of being in front of a
camera, you're invited. We may eventually filter for people who
present well and are especially articulate to invite back for future
episodes, but at least for this first "audition," all we be
considered.

You do not have to give your real name if you don't want to, but no
face-covering masks will be allowed,

The central topic of the interwiews and discussion will center on
the theme of "If you could have your (poly) relationships be EXACTLY
how you want them to be, what would they be like?" People will be
asked to put aside any consideration of what they think is possible or
practical, what is "politically correct" or socially acceptable, and
let their mind dwell upon what their truest, deepest desires really
are on this subject. What do you really want?

Obviously other ideas about polyamorous relationships will manage to
get expressed in the process, but thoughts and feelings related to
this theme of what people really want will be the central focus of
this particular session.

This first video shoot is scheduled for May 17th, which is a
Saturday. We are tentatively scheduled to begin shooting around 7 PM,
and plan to continue for at least three hours. This is in Berkeley,
California. Perspective participants are encouraged to be there by 6
PM if possible.

We won't have room for any spectators, but we are in need of camera
operators, lighting people and others with any kind of video
production or editing expertise.

If you want be involved in this, let me know as soon as possible. We
can only include a limited number of people this time. When you
respond, please tell me a little about yourself and your involvement
with polyamory.
